The Founders Trophy was established in 1995 by John ‘Beck’ Dixon and is awarded annually to persons or organisations who have assisted the Foundation with their work, recipients to date are as follows:

N Carins – Norman received the trophy for all of his help and assistance with the maintenance of the fields. Sadly we lost Norman in July 2016 but will always be grateful for his help and friendship

C Shield – Chris received the trophy for his hard work as coach for Crookhall Foundation Sports which he established to help us to deliver the aim ensuring healthy sporting activities for young people. The Assistant Secretaries presented the trophy at the Summer Camp Sports Day

E Waters & R Barrass – Ellie and Rosie received the trophy for their invaluable help to Chris with the successful sports camps provided by Crookhall Foundation Sports. Both are very supportive and encouraging of all of the young people who attend.

Michael Dynes – Derwentside Rotary Club – Michael was presented with the trophy on the racecourse at the 2017 Durham Miners Gala with Slaithwaite Band. This is to thank him and the Rotary Club for their help with our work and improving the environment at Crookhall by tree and crocus planting.
Slaithwaite Band – The Band have supported the Banner Group for the last 8 years accompanying the Banner at the Durham Miners Gala. We could never have found a more helpful, professional and friendly group of people.
Paul Brown – Paul is a local resident of Crookhall and has been invaluable to The Foundation for a number of years assisting us with our work and we are very grateful for his help and support
Jane Brown – Jane has been a long time supporter of the Foundation for 13 years and has been a long standing member of the Executive Committee and held the position of Chair for the last 7 years  |
